The Senior Copywriter will serve as the dedicated writer of strategic content for one or more brands in pharma, biotech, health and wellness. The Senior Copywriter must develop interesting copy for integrated tactics in print and digital, participate in the development of new business pitches, work collaboratively with team members to earn their respect, and effectively serve as a dependable and trusted lieutenant for the Copy Supervisor.

  • Work with your art partner to produce standout and strategically focused concepts, campaigns, digital experiences, and other tactics in pharma, health and wellness
  • Plan and prioritize your work, ensuring all deadlines are met, on time and on budget
  • Produce clear and persuasive writing, with voice and structure appropriate to the brands
  • Have complete command of the data for assigned brands and their competitors
  • Serve as the resident expert on the categories or disease states of assigned brands
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues in Design, UX, Strategy, Account, Editorial, and PM
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, often on tight timelines
  • Present work to supervisor, team, and clients in an organized and interesting manner
  • Defend your ideas and point of view, and follow through on constructive feedback
  • Attend and actively participate in client meetings, Med/Legal reviews, and market research
  • Conduct online research for appropriate source materials and maintain reference files
  • Submit complete, fully referenced and annotated manuscripts that fulfill project briefs and conform to the brand style guides, with minimal supervision
  • Work with project managers to route jobs until clean and ensure deadlines are met
  • Contribute to new business efforts and join pitch teams as required


  • 2-4 years of healthcare agency writing experience
  • Proven track record of creative ability and judgment, strong client relationships, collaborative teamwork, and excellent presentation skills
  • Commitment to go the extra mile to produce the very best imaginative work
  • Excellent writing skills and demonstrated enthusiasm for the art of writing
  • Facility with scientific material and ability to translate it into marketing communications for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish factual support of all claims and annotate manuscripts accordingly
  • A sharp eye for detail and accuracy
  • Clear, concise and positive communication style
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • BA or BS degree with strong emphasis in writing
