You will be the primary Senior Media Planner across a few brands, working directly with a Director and Assistant Media Planner, as well as the full media and account teams.


  • Oversee assistant media planners in developing the tactical plan for each brand initiative
  • Create and maintain media documents: flowcharts, timelines, RFPs, POVs, plan agreements/contracts, and correspondence from within and outside the agency
  • Develop and execute online media plans (display, email, custom programs, etc.):
    • Draft and issue RFPs
    • Vet vendor proposals, lead Q&A, negotiate online media placement and pricing
    • Compile and present media rationales to account and client for approval
    • Code, upload, and traffic campaigns
  • Perform campaign analysis and data compilation
  • Maintain contact with publisher representatives in order to keep current on industry trends and new media opportunities as well as ensure strategic partnerships with each
  • Manage media invoicing and solve discrepancies
  • Develop POVs
  • Research and compile competitive data
  • Optimize media placements – recommend strategic and tactical changes to maximize campaign performance
  • Manage and train Media Planners and Assistant Media Planners


  • Minimum of two to three years’ media planning experience required
  • Strong knowledge of activating digital media campaigns (e.g. optimizations, pacing, building media plans and billing)
  • Experience drafting and issuing RFPs, leading Q&A and negotiating with vendors
  • Experience working within media and research tools, including DoubleClick DFA, Kantar, comScore, Google Analytics, and/or Omniture
  • Demonstrates leadership skills, takes initiative, proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Friendly, team player – self-motivated; excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication; problem solving and decision-making skills required
  • Strong math skills and understanding of Microsoft tools required (Excel including pivot tables, PPT, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking capabilities a must
  • Strict attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare experience a plus
  • Bonus consideration for those with experience in print and offline as well (not mandatory)
